Google Adsense - Simple Tips and Tricks

The key to success with Adsense ads is to put the ads into the nicely clickable spots and deliver as much targeted traffic to these pages as possible.

How to find a balance between giving away traffic (people who click ads go away from your site or blog) and being happy about it?

First of all you should take into account this simple tip.

Adsense links (link units) are not getting that much clicks. That is why if you place these link units on the pages were you'd like visitors to do other things (not click the link units) - you will increase the conversions of downloading some free stuff, or signing up for the course, or clicking the affiliate link buried in the text. So, the link units are good as 'scare off' to make visitors do the stuff that you want.

2nd tier in AdSense program. Well, Google is not offering this feature, but you can.

For example, content writers who deliver content to this blog can also recruit other writers and they will receive part of the profits that referred authors will generate here.

Everybody happy!

As long as this blog is alive and receives traffic, the author of the content published here will get part of the AdSense impressions on the page where his/her content is published. Which means that every article published here becomes an independent source of profit. And the author should not worry about promoting the blog and getting traffic to it, because this is the duty of the blog owners.

Getting Started with Google Adsense - Step by Step

The first thing you need to do is to register in Google AdSense program. The registration procedure starts here http://www.google.com/adsense

After you have registered, from the same page please login to your Google AdSense account and agree to the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions to proceed.

Then you get to a report page with detailed status on how your AdSense ads are converting and how much they are bringing you.

On the top of the page you will find the setup section. This is the place where you generate special code of the ad that later on is posted on your web site and turns into typical Google ad.

Google AdSense program offers you the options of AdSense for text (textual ads, plus you can choose it to be text and graphics), ad which is a search box and ad that refers people to Google AdSense program.

"My Account" tab allows you to set up details about your account, payment and tax information.

To add a text ad on your site: enable the cookies in your browser, go to "AdSense Setup" tab and click the "AdSense for content" link. This will give you a choice between ad units and link units. Ad units contain text and or images concerning a certain site for each unit with some description. Link units have links to certain types.

Then you need to choose your add format and colors. The freedom of doing that is in your hands, but basically you can end up with ads that 'mold' with your site design and ads that go in the contrast. What is better? Life will show it, and you will always be able to choose the looks of your ads and choose the one that gives the best conversions.

After customization of ads is finished - click "Continue" and then copy the JavaScript of the ad. You can paste it into your pages directly.

AdSense is published. Track them and choose the ones that are the most successful.

Adsense is for Everyone - Truth or Myth?

When Google AdSense program popped up on the market many people doubted the success of this idea. Now many people even do not dare to doubt it.

Why?

Perhaps the brilliant idea was in making everybody pleased. AdSense isn't just profitable for Google. It's also profitable for the people who advertise via AdWords and for publishers or owners of web sites on the pages of which the ads are published.

With these 3 powerful forces of the Internet the success of this program was destined to take place.

The hardest task was to make please another - 4th power, the most crucial in this model - the surfers who are potential subscribers and buyers.

Well, no one would give 100% guarantee that all surfers are happy with AdSenses. Some are even talking about giving a possibility to provide 'off ads' searching mode, so that they see sites and blogs with AdSense - but this is more of a vent off.

Still, many people are clicking the ads and this makes the business model more than alive.

However, as you can see - different trends take the minds of people. That is why you can ask yourself - 'Is it worth to play with AdSense for long in the future?'

The answer is "yes" because…

It works for the surfers. Instead of a huge graphic banner you see a few words. Words that are up to the point and explain everything. If you like what you see you can just click it.

It works for the AdWords advertisers - they are happy to get their ads on the sites and blogs which are receiving real targeted visitors from search engines. This is very good kind of traffic, top quality, search-hungry people.

It works for site and blog owners (also called publishers), because even 1 page site with some useful info on it can be bringing money till the end of the Internet.

And it works for Google, they are taking their part of the share from each click.

Everybody is happy and satisfied, this business model is viable. The "yes" in the answer is proved by simple logics.

Google AdSense and Web Surfers

Let's talk a little about Google AdSense program from the point of view of the people who daily search the Internet trying to find some info and who you are the potential clickers on the AdSense ads. Let's talk about web surfers.

The surfers in general think that AdSense is the most straightforward model available. This is expressed by numerous studies that prove - people who come from search engines are very good clickers on the relevant AdSense ads.

There is no magic in it. Long ago Google realized that by pleasing the people who search for something, and directing them to what they need faster, everybody wins - the surfer, the site owner, and the big Google.

We do not want to say that traditional banner advertising is absolutely wrong. But it works like the effect of 'total presence'. When you saw a banner of some script or book or whatever a thousand times on different sites - you get used to the product. But this does not mean that out of that thousand impressions you will do a single click on the banner.

So, the site visitors adopted AdSense advertising model, because it is shows them the pages of interest.

We can even say that thanks to AdSense Internet surfers again started to pay more attention to related things in the banners, and the companies behind the site.

There is another trend of people who are already starting to ignore AdSense ads, who became 'AdSense blind'. This is true - such a trend exist.

However in most of the cases it comes down to few simple things:

- how nicely/naturally AdSense ads are embedded into your site or blog,
- how relevant these ads are.

When these two factors are in good combination, the clicks on AdSenses will be very good. And you will love the program.
